The Living Open Source Foundation has been a game changer for me. In my secondary education, I was never exposed to computing or anything related to IT. The little knowledge I had about computers was entirely self-taught and even then, it wasn't the kind of knowledge that truly mattered. Because of this, I lacked confidence and felt there was nothing productive I could do with a computer. This program changed everything. It has not only given me valuable IT skills but has also transformed my confidence like never before. I now realize that anyone, regardless of their background, can learn to use a computer and make a meaningful impact on the world as long as they have the right knowledge and resources. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and I look forward to continuing my journey in IT!

I am still very excited and grateful to be part of the program. So far, it has turned out the way I expected and the support from the Team and fellow recipients has been massive. Everyone encourages each other to keep learning, and the administrative team is always on hand to support us all. I shared my last achievement after clearing the LFCA exam at my workplace, and it was well received. Colleagues would also like to take part in the upcoming intakes, and these skills are well appreciated within the workplace. I look forward to obtaining upcoming certifications and continued group learning.

Certified in AWS and Google Cloud, Adam designs secure, scalable solutions that ensure compliance and operational efficiency. His expertise spans Linux administration, database management, and IT project delivery.

A passionate advocate for digital equity and open-source, Adam promotes the use of AI, GIS, and ethical hacking in business and education. He’s currently advancing his skills in Kubernetes, data, and project management.
