Many IT companies struggle to find qualified staff. The Living Open Source Foundation aims
to bridge this gap by providing trained professionals ready to meet industry needs. If you are
looking for skilled staff but face challenges in finding them, consider sponsoring our
initiatives.
Our primary mission is to create job opportunities in Africa. While we are pleased when our
students can work directly at your location, our greater aim is to have your company offer
remote work. By enabling our students to work from their home countries, we drive progress
within these regions. Successful students will contribute to building and strengthening local
Living Open Source communities!
Through the Living Open Source University program, we train our students rigorously.
Students apply to the program, and we encourage sponsors to engage early in the process.
Currently, we offer two sponsorship options:
1. Adopt a Student: This option allows you to support a student throughout their entire
program. In many African countries, students face financial challenges, often having to leave
school to support their families. Your sponsorship provides them with a salary, ensuring they
can complete their studies. In return, you gain access to student resumes and have the first
option to employ the student upon graduation.
2. Offer a Perspective: With this option, you commit to offering job interviews to our
graduates. We handle all the details and connect you with students ready to start working.
You pay a modest entrance fee for access to our pool of graduates, and if you decide to hire a
candidate, you pay a mediation fee. This fee helps us sustain and expand our activities.
