Living Open Source Ansible Fundamentals

Join us for a comprehensive 2-day hybrid class on Ansible Fundamentals hosted by Sander van Vugt and Living Open Source Foundations on November 11th and 12th.
The course will take place in Amstelveen, the Netherlands, with the option to participate online from anywhere in the world. Class times are from 2 PM – 7 PM.
This hands-on training is designed to provide participants with a strong foundation in Ansible and configuration management.
Whether you attend in person or virtually, you will learn key concepts and practical applications of Ansible to manage and automate IT environments efficiently.
Prerequisites:
Participants are required to bring their own laptops, configured with any virtualization solution of preference for installing virtual machines.
Before the course, students must download the CentOS Stream image from centos.org and install three virtual machines using the minimal installation.
Course program:
Day 1:
- Understanding Ansible and configuration management
- Using Ansible to set up a lab environment
- Using ad-hoc commands and playbooks
- Using the AWX Ansible web management platform
- Working with variables
Day 2:
- Using Conditionals
- Making Ansible easier by using roles
- Managing files
- Use case: configuring storage
- Use case: configuring users
- Use case: setting up software management
